Book buying habits. Where did you buy the book?
Book buying habits .
Where did you buy the book? .
There are many different places to buy books today, so I want to share with me where I buy books from! . Therefore, each book in this photo was purchased from other places in order from top to bottom:
The Works, Amazon, a local second-hand bookstore, Poundland, Waterstones, and a charity shop. I also bought books from other places (such as WHSmiths) and independent publishers! .
Now, if you have been following me for a while, you will know that the charity shop is where I buy most of the books.
Personally, I think this is a good way to get cheap books and help charities! . So, where do you buy books from?

charity shops! 💕
Mostly charity shops
Mainly charity shops for me. I’ve never bought a book from Waterstones or paid the price printed on the book!
Pretty much booktopia which is an Aussie online store.
They’re either secondhand from book markets and bazaars or new from bookshops in Cyprus or from Blackwell’s UK.
Believe it or not, every book a bought from them the last two years is cheaper than its equivalent from BookDepository.
I just got my latest books from magpie books great buys 2 for five pounds and today’s post 8 books £4,50 from the charity shop all in excellent condition 😀 bargain💜
I get mine from so many different places 🤦🏻♀️ I always check out charity shops first if I’m out and about, and will look at online secondhand shops too. I like Waterstones because of the rewards system, but I also have been trying to order from indie bookshops during lockdown and recently found hive.co.uk who’ll send a percentage of your purchase to an indie bookshop of your choice which is amazing! 💕
I’m a die-hard library girl, but my library does have it’s own small used book store so I look through that every time I’m there. Also, the library’s bi-annual book sale!!
When I’m in France, I have no other choice than to rely on Amazon. When in the UK, indie shops or indie publishers’ shops!
I try to get a lot of my books second hand either from charity shops or eBay 😊
Love charity shops for incredible bargain finds. I buy from charity shops, instagram writers like @l.l.mcneil and amazon for others such as @nick.harper_writes as well as lots of other books, booksta/etsy sellers like @foxfangbooks , bookboxes like @booklovingdragons 2nd hand and new signed books … instagram influences my buys a lil too much 😂😂 i do love a waterstones still though 💕
I typically try and order from secondhand sites online
